Favourite Songs Facility

A song Favourites feature has been added to the site. This is based on cookies similar to the Default Layout and Song Layout features.

This means that the favourite is for the specific device you are using – e.g. PC, Tablet, Smartphone. If you set the Favourite on a PC then it will not show on your tablet and vice-versa.

On the song page there is now a Heart symbol Favouritesin the Menu bar.
If you click on that it will change to a Star   and that song will be saved as a Favourite.
On the Index page – https://ozbcoz.com/Songs there is also a Heart in the Menu Bar. If you click on that then a list of your Favourite songs will appear. You can click on any song to go there. You can also tick the box (or multiple boxes) and click on the Remove Selected to remove them from your Favourites list.

This feature will save having to search through all the songs to find the ones you want to play at the moment. It could be useful in clubs that project the songs to prepare a list of songs that you are going to play. I use it for my practice list and for my relax list.

There is currently a limit of 50 songs for the Favourites and the cookie will expire 90 days after the last update.

Hope this is of use to you.

(To allow for the Favourites to flow across all devices I would need to set up a registration, and login process to store the songs on the server by user. This would be possible but would need greater resources in the server, and my time to manage, and so would probably incur additional costs. As I don’t want to adopt a paid subscription system then this facility probably won’t become available unless I can think of a smart way around that.)
