Brilliant Jim, what a star you, I can’t wait to get cracking on the new stuff. Thank goodness there are still folks in the world who give their time and energy so freely. Mwah Mwah.
Thank you so much, Jim, for the staggering amount of time and work you have put in to create this AMAZING resource! If we ever meet up, I’ll buy you a pint! Or two! 🙂
Fantastic effort, I love the book.
I was kicked off the Facebook George formby fan page because I asked if anyone had the chords to a particular song, another member uploaded your book which I managed to download before being rather rudely removed from the group……He he, turned out nice again!
Jim u r a legend and very generous ☺
I’m looking for the chords to a tune by formby called ‘the ukulele man’….Help me Jim
It may take me a while I’m sorry – I am right in the middle of creating the new songbook and that takes a chunk of time (and any GF song takes a bit of time too!!). If you can’t wait then I know that the song is in the Society GF Songbook 2 – hopefully I can get onto it in a couple of weeks – but my quick look around says it doesn’t seem to be easily accessible as a bas so I would have to work my way through it and that takes some time.
Check this – it’s a bit raw and I will review a bit more – this one is the chords he used (but he retuned his uke to aDF#B in the video – so if you want to match the video on a std gCEA uke the transform the song to G
I’ve just started playing the ukelele and have been thinking that it would be good to start a local group with some friends. Our average age is 70+ … some of us can use the internet, some not. I will encourage the internet users to access this excellent website but am wondering what we can do about the non internet users. If I understand the copyright conditions correctly I can print a hard copy of a song for myself for free but cannot make copies for other people. If this is correct, is there some way I could pay you to enable me to print copies for the non-internet users?
Jim, thank you so much for doing this
Jim, thanks alot for doing this

I will implement a simple version of Nashville – there will be a Menu or button on the Roman page to convert to Nashville – will take a few weeks
Jim
Should be up during this next week
