Downloading Individual Song PDFs
Existing PDFs
There are a number of different tunings supported in the song system:
Standard Ukulele (gCEA)
Baritone Ukulele (DGBE)
D “Formby” Ukulele (ADF#B)
B-flat Ukulele (FbbDG)
Guitar (EADGBE)
Mandolin (GDAE)
plus left-handed versions of each of these.
I store on the web site pre-made PDFs for:
Standard Uke,
Baritone Uke,
Guitar,
Mandolin
plus their left-handed versions.
You can download these by clicking on the PDF menu link and then clicking on the “Songbook PDF” link. If you are in left-handed mode you will get the left-handed version else you will get the right handed version. These are the same pages that are also in the songbook (although, as yet, there are no songbooks for left handed guitar, mandolin and baritone uke – but if the demand is there maybe I can produce those). D “Formby” and B-flat will download gCEA versions if you try to do those
Creating fresh version of a PDF
Now if you have made some changes to the song using the EDIT function or if you are using D “Formby” or B-flat then you can create a fresh PDF of your version of the song by clicking on the PDF menu item up the top of the song page and then Create PDF. At the moment it will then create a PDF with a cryptic name and download it. You will have to rename that to something sensible. Very soon I will change that to have a more sensible name (with the cryptic bit tacked on the end) to make it easier to recognise.

I am trying to put more detail in to songs, and in some cases add chords, correct minor wording errors, (such as arrive instead of arise in Don’t Think Twice, for example). I have been able to do that easily, and then I create a new pdf which downloads and which I can then print or display. However, the next time I come back to the song on ozbcoz, I don’t seem to be able to retrieve the corrected version. Is there something I need to do, or is the new version simply gone each time? Thank you in advance.
You can’t save directly to the site (you need to send those changes to me to implement)
BUT
you can save them as favourites and then when you retrieve them from your favourites list (up to 50 songs) they will contain your changes.
So login to the system, When you have updated a song click on the heart symbol in the menu line (it will change to a star) – this save the song as a favourite.
To access your favourites then go to the Songs Index and click on the heart. This will list your favourites and if you click on a song it will bring it in as one of your favourites.
I would love to receive any updates from you on the songs so that I can make them better
Jim
I have used the Ukulele song book which was great. Thank you.
I now want to access the Mandolin version.
No problems – just go to https://ozbcoz.com/songbooks and click on the mandolin songbook link and down it will come
Hi Jim,
I’m trying to download the banjo songbook (I have a banjolele). I can get to download, but nothing comes through? Is there something I’m missing?
Love your song book thanks
If you have a banjolele then you probably want the Ukulele songbook as banjoleles are usually tuned to gCEA – the standard ukulele tuning.
Are you downloading it on a PC or a tablet (and if so what tablet- iPad, Android) Also what browser are you using?
Sounds like you are doing it right but I would like to try and reproduce it – it should download to your device doing what you are doing
cheers
Jim
I’m trying to download a song sheet( as I have before) but have got a red msg up:-
Your submission failed.
Has something changed please?
Thanks
John W
no – just created a PDF when I got your problem without any issue – doesn’t sound like any of my error messages
Jim
Thanks Jim
I immediately entered “ Get Back” as a new search & it came up again with that same message!!
I’ll leave it a while but seems strange after all my successes with it.
John.
I can’t duplicate it – all works well from my end

Hi again Jim.
It works on my MacBook Pro but I still get the message below( in red) when I try it on my iPhone:-
Your submission failed. The server responded with (code ). Please contact the developer of this form processor to improve this message. Learn more
Thanks anyway-your prompt response was appreciated.
John.
PS I tried it once more & got this message( in Green!!) but still not able to see the song sheet!!
It appears your submission was successful. Even though the server responded OK, it is possible the submission was not processed. Please contact the developer of this form processor to improve this message. Learn more
OK – all fixed. I was confusing your post – thought you were using the Search on the Songs Index page which works fine
I have now fixed the one on the Blog page – all is well
