New Favourites Enhancement
I have changed the favourites system internally to allow you to save changed songs or created songs in the favourites list. This, of course, also allows you to use these changed or new songs in your mini songbook (lyrics and chords books).
It is VERY important that you understand how this works or you can get a bit tangled !!
The favourites are stored in a cookie system like now – but unfortunately this is marginally different and so you will lose your existing favourites. Apologies for this. They also use some small amount of space on your PC or tablet to store the changed or new song text and information.
You create a favourite just like now by clicking on the heart symbol up in the menu area of the song. After that the heart changes to a STAR symbol (just like now). You can continue to make changes (clicking the update button in the EDIT box or changing layout – font size, diagram size, line spacing, key etc. These changes will only affect your browser version UNTIL you click again on the STAR symbol when those changes will be stored in the favourites.
So changes made to the song will remain local until you are happy and then click on the STAR and this will save those changes in the favourites.
As I said this system uses cookies and a small database on your device so be cautious when clearing history or cookies or you may lose the favourites list.
When you want to use a favourite song in future then make sure you access it through the list of favourites found by clicking on the HEART on the index page (https://ozbcoz.com/Songs/ ) or by going to https://ozbcoz.com/Songs/faves.php) .
If you just click on a song in the index then it will bring up an original copy of the song but if you go through the faves section then you will get your favourites.
Now one small downside is that if you create a mini songbook then the site has to create a PDF of any included created/changed song when you create the songbook. So the more of these songs you include in the mini songbook then the longer it will take to create the songbook. It will take 2-5 seconds or so per changed song to create that songbook.
I hope this was clear enough – please contact me through the site if you need any questions answered on this.

I really appreciate being able to save transposed songs. Now I would like to be able to merge songs into a PDF file in the order I choose, which is not necessarily alphabetical. Is there a way to do that?
It is something I have been considering – but it is not likely to happen in the near future I’m afraid
Hello Jim – this is really an impressive resource……….so far as favourites go, is there any way to create a ‘top 100’ or even ‘top 200’ favourites mini songbook? I know the maximum stands at 50, but is it possible to maybe create the first 50, save those on computer and then delete those favourites from the website, to allow the creation of another 50? and so on…?
Thank you,
Harry
I’m off on a short holiday at the moment – will get back to you in a couple of days
Jim
