New features on the site – can now transpose songs and more

I have added some new features to the site. If you click on the Ukulele (or Guitar – clue there) menu item you can then click again on Songs or New Songs. This will take you to a page showing the list of all the songs (or new songs). First time may take a short while – lots of songs – but should speed up. If you click on a song it now longer shows the pdf but now shows a page that allows you to transpose the song to a different key, show it in a different tuning by showing the chord diagrams for a baritone (DGBE) or guitar (EADGBE) or Bb (FBbDG) or Formby (ADF#B) tuning. It will also allow you to put the chords at the top or the left (or don’t show). You can hide the set of standard chord diagrams (you can decide which ones). You can change the size of the chord diagrams,. You can have the chord names above the line or inline or you can show mini chord diagrams above the line. You can change the font size (bigger/smaller). You can edit the song – change chords or lyrics (only temporary though and lost when you leave the song) and then print out or create a pdf. You can download the original pdf for the song – the changes are many. If you change keys though the inversions and slash chords (e.g. D-2 and Am/C) will revert back to standard chords.

I hope this is useful and would love feedback on it. Now for a short break then back to adding songs to the songbook

  1. Can OZBCOZ transpose base cleft music/tabs? do you know any app that could? doing it manually is a chore. Thanks for all you do for us 4 stringers. great work.

    1. Nope – can’t do that I’m afraid or between instruments either. I go out and look for apps to do it every now and then but haven’t found a simple one yet
