Printing out songs

Just a hint on printing songs.

If you just want to print out the “vanilla” song then go to PDF/Img menu item and click on Existing songbook pdf. This will download the standard pdf for that song. Then print that – that excludes any ads that would print if you used the browser print (also lets you move that song to your PC or tablet)

If you have made changes, text, chords, transposing etc then go to PDF/Img and click on Create PDF – this will create a pdf of the song as it has been changed (again without ads) and you can print/save that.

  1. Jim, I would like to create 2 songbooks to print out; one with chords and one with just lyrics for folks to use to sing along. I’m sure that project has come up before. Could you just point me to a post that explains how I can do that? Thanks!

I continue to enjoy using your site. My monthly contribution is a bargain!

    1. Hi – yep what you need to do is to make each of the songs that you want in the songbook a Favourite – i.e. click on the Heart symbol at the top of the song when it is open.

Then when you have all the songs you want in Favourites go to the index page i.e. https://ozbcoz.com/Songs and click on the Heart symbol up there. It should then show you all the songs you have favourited (may be worth doing a few then going to look see just to make sure all is ok).

You can drag and drop (on a desktop computer only) songs into whatever order you want them in a songbook. Click on the songs you want in the book and then click on the Merge PDF or Merg Lyrics buttons which will create your books and download them to your machine.

Remember to always re-click on the Start icon (heart changes to star to show its a favourite) after you do any Edit changes to a song to save the changes in Favs.

Hope that all makes sense 🙂

      1. Thanks, Jim. Is there a max number of songs that can be saved in Favourites? And am I correct in thinking that those are saved on your system and not resident on my machine? If I create a mini songbook and it resides on my machine, then I assume it is no longer editable since it is then a .pdf, correct? (Sorry for the questions…. can’t decide whether I am worse on a computer or ukulele!)

        1. There are a max of 50. At the moment they are saved on your machine. If you create a mini songbook from your favourites it will also save the PDF on your machine.

But you can still edit the songs in your favourites (you must click on them from the favourites screen, edit them, click on Update and then click on the star at the top). When you have done what editing you want you can then re-generate your mini songbook again
